NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Specifications Now Official; Includes 3584 CUDA Cores And 170W TDP

NVIDIA unveiled its GeForce RTX 3060 earlier this year, alongside the announcement of its GeForce RTX 30 series mobile graphics for laptops, but fell short of giving us the full specs sheet of the card. Now, with its alleged 25 February launch date edging closer, the GPU maker seems to have made all relevant details of the card known.

As well all know, the RTX 3060 will have 12GB GDDR6 out of the box. Additional details – as per the card’s official product page – include 3584 CUDA cores, a base and boost clock of 1.32GHz and 1.78GHz, and a 192-bit memory bus out of the box.

As for output ports, the card will have the standard HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 1.4a ports, but that is subject to change, depending on the AiB partner. In terms of power consumption, NVIDIA says that the RTX 3060 will run with just one 8-pin PCIe power connector, but again, and how far NVIDIA board partners will push the card will also determine if their card will require more than just one 8-pin connector. Also, the card will have a power envelope of 170W and require a 550W PSU to properly run.

Pricing for the GeForce RTX 3060 is set to start at US$329 (~RM1325) and in any case, we should begin seeing reviews and hearing about other custom-cooled cards come 25 February. And before you ask: no, there is no indication that there will be enough of the card to go around at launch.
