WhatsApp Update Will Allow Users To Set Custom Wallpapers To Individual Chats

WhatsApp has revealed an upcoming update which will allow users to set custom wallpapers to their individual chats. This provides them the freedom to make their chats personal and distinguishable, with a wide selection of new built-in backgrounds to choose from.

Aside from adding new selections, the private messaging platform says that it is also making the default doodle wallpaper to be available in more colours. Moreover, it added that users will be provided with the ability to further enhance the chat background to their personal preference by dimming or brightening the images.

The new update will also see several improvements done to the WhatsApp sticker search system, which will enable users to search and find stickers with text or emoji, or browse through common sticker categories. With that, the platform is advising creators to include the necessary tags and emojis to their existing stickers in order to be effectively discovered by users in this updated system.

WhatsApp is also introducing new animated versions of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) “Together at Home” themed sticker pack. According to the platform, the pack has been one of the most popularly used stickers sets across the platform, and this new addition will enable them to be even more expressive and useful in an animated format.

This upcoming update will be rolling out to users within this week, the Facebook-owned messaging platform added. That being said, it’s worth noting that some iOS users may have already received the new features on the application.
