Unannounced Huawei Laptop Specs Leak; Features Kirin 990 Processor

It appears that Huawei is planning to equip its newer laptops with its own HiSilicon Kirin processors. A recent leak on Weibo features a photo of the packaging of an unannounced notebook from the brand, mainly revealing its key specifications.

According to the photo, the new device is known as the Qinqyun L410 and comes equipped with a Kirin 990 flagship chipset. It also includes 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and features a 14-inch 1080p display. As for software, the laptop runs on the Linux-based Deepin OS 20 but there’s a possibility that the transition to Huawei’s HarmonyOS will be made available in the future.

The laptop’s design remains a mystery for now, but GSMArena believes it to be a cheaper variant of the brand’s MateBook 14 model. Other than that, the inclusion of the Kirin 990 SoC is capable of providing the device with 5G connectivity aside from standard LTE and WiFi.

With this leak, it is very likely that Huawei will be announcing and/or launching the new laptop soon. Chances are the Qingyun L410 will be first made available in China, and a global release could follow up months later. That is, if Huawei does plan to release it outside of its home country.
