Over the years, Razer has established itself as a renowned gaming brand that has produced plenty of gaming products including audio devices. However, its latest audio release is not focused solely for gaming but more for general audio enjoyment.
While the description above might make the new Razer Opus sounds rather tame, the new headphones are yet another premium release from the brand. Designed with the help of its subsidiary THX, Razer stated that Opus is designed to deliver crystal clear audio with a broad and balanced soundscape.
Equipped with a pair of 40mm drivers, Opus also features what Razer called as the Advanced Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) system that utilizes four ANC microphones to help cancel out noise from the outside world. To further help shield users from outside noise as well as providing comfort for hours of usage, the new headphones also comes with memory foam leatherette ear cushions.
Of course, users can still choose to listen to their surroundings through Opus and it even has a mode called Quick Attention that amplifies the ambient noise when activated. Users can simply pause audio playback when they remove Opus or rest them on their neck and when they wear the Opus again, the playback will resume automatically.
To cater to frequent commuters and travellers, Opus are also accompanied by a 3.5mm audio jack, aeroplane adapter, and carry case. With a battery life of up 25 hours, the new THX-certified wireless ANC headphones can now be purchased over at Razer APAC’s online store for RM 1065, so expect them to pop up at local retail store very soon.
