Apple last updated the iPad mini last year, after what seemed like forever. Though it looks like the company is giving its mini tablet another refresh next year. But before that, in the second half of this year, the company may be launching a new 10.8-inch iPad as well.
These details came from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, via a new investor note. According to 9to5Mac, these new iPads will have “affordable price tag and the adoption of fast chips” as their main selling points. Though no mention of which chip either of the iPads will be using just yet.
The current iPad mini comes with a screen size of 7.9 inches. The new one said to be coming next year though, has a display measuring 8.5 or 9 inches, according to Kuo. This may mean either the iPad mini is getting larger, or the bezels of the tablet are getting thinner. Maybe it will finally adopt the iPad Pro-esque design we thought it will be getting this generation.
Also part of the note was the mention of the Apple Glasses, which is said to come in 2022 at the earliest. Previous reports pegged the arrival of the company’s AR glasses to come in 2023.
